Cookie Policy

This website DOES NOT USE any cookies and definitely doesn't use cookies for profiling and/or marketing purposes.

1. General information on cookies

Cookies are small text files that websites send to the user's device (computer, tablet, smartphone, notebook) where they are stored and then retransmitted to the same sites on subsequent visits. They enable website authentication, session tracking, and information storage (without "technical" cookies, some operations would be complicated or impossible). However, through "profiling" cookies, browsing can be monitored, collecting data about preferences, habits, and personal choices to create detailed consumer profiles.

So-called "Third-party" cookies are set by a different website than the one being visited. This happens because websites often contain elements (images, maps, sounds, specific links to other domains, etc.) hosted on different servers than the main site.

2. General rules about cookie consent

Current legislation requires website operators using cookies or other tracking technologies to inform users about the types of cookies used. The Italian Data Protection Authority's Provision No. 229 of May 8, 2014, published in Official Gazette No. 126 of June 3, 2014, categorizes cookies into two main types: "technical" cookies and "profiling" cookies.

2.1. Technical and analytical cookies

Technical cookies are used solely to transmit communications over an electronic network or when strictly necessary for providing an information service explicitly requested by the user. They serve no other purpose and are typically installed directly by the website operator. They can be divided into:

User consent isn't required for these cookies, although providing information about them remains mandatory.

2.2. Profiling cookies

Profiling cookies create user profiles to deliver targeted advertising based on browsing preferences. Due to their potential privacy impact, European and Italian laws require clear information about their use and explicit user consent.

2.3. First-party cookies

First-party cookies are managed by the website owner, who must provide information about them and explain how to block them.

2.4. Third-party cookies

These are managed by external parties. The third party must provide information about their cookies and blocking procedures, while the site owner must link to the third party's information.

2.5. Session cookies

Temporary cookies that remain only during the website visit, deleted when leaving the site or closing the browser.

2.6. Persistent cookies

These remain stored after leaving the site and closing the browser, until they expire or are manually deleted.

3. Managing cookie preferences

Users can manage cookie preferences directly in their browser settings, preventing third parties from installing cookies if desired. Browsers also allow deletion of previously installed cookies, including any consent cookies.
